Custom Quick Actions
Choose which quick actions appear in the rotation channel message.
What are Quick Actions?
When Rotation App posts a channel message announcing the currently assigned user(s), it includes a Quick Actions dropdown. Quick Actions let your team make common rotation changes directly from the channel message — without opening the Home tab.
By default, all available Quick Actions are enabled. You can customize which ones appear, or disable them entirely.
Available Quick Actions
| Quick Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Skip user and assign next | Skips the currently assigned user and moves them to the end of the queue. The next user takes over. |
| Swap positions with next user | Swaps the currently assigned user with the next user in the queue. The current user moves to the next position instead of the end. |
| Temporarily substitute with next user | Replaces the currently assigned user with the next user for this shift only, without changing the queue order. Only available for single-user rotations. |
| Skip shift | Skips the current shift entirely, leaving no one assigned. |
For group rotations, actions refer to the group instead of a single user. “Temporarily substitute” is not available for group rotations.
