Days of Availability
Define work days for each team member so the rotation knows who can take shifts on which weekdays.
What are Days of Availability?
Days of Availability let you define the regular work days for each team member. When someone isn’t available on a particular weekday, the rotation takes that into account, the queue will highlight the conflict with a warning, and if Proactive Adjustments are enabled, the queue will be automatically reordered so shifts are assigned to available users.
By default, all users are considered available every day. You only need to configure this for users with restricted schedules.
How to configure
- Go to Home tab: Learn where to find Rotation App’s Home tab
- Open your rotation’s menu and select ⚖️ Balancing & Availability.
- Open Days of Availability by pressing Configure.
- Select a user from the dropdown.
- Press Change and pick the weekdays this user is available.
- Submit to save.
Repeat for each user who has a restricted schedule.
What happens in the queue
- A warning icon appears next to any user who is not available on their assigned shift’s weekday.
- If Proactive Adjustments are enabled, the queue is automatically reordered so available users are placed on the right shifts.
- Users with no overlapping days with the rotation’s schedule are flagged at the top of the queue and will be skipped on every shift.
